Biography:
Briana Blount completed her undergraduate at Winston Salem State University earning a degree in Healthcare Management. During undergrad, she completed two internships with one at Forsyth County Health Department in the preventative health division. In her role, she was able to assist and lead educational programs and collaborate with nearby clinics for the Infant Mortality Reduction Coalition. This allowed her to apply health policies to better achieve and address health needs. Briana also held an internship at Red Ventures as a data analyst. Here, she had the opportunity to improve her digital marketing skills by analyzing data through analytic tools such as SQL and Data Grip. After graduating, Briana began working as a Paid Media Analyst at Red Ventures. She managed data reports and communicated with external partners to maintain relationships and meet business objectives. Briana currently works for Novant Health as a Patient Services Coordinator 3. Her hope is to continue to grow within the company to pursue a leadership position at a hospital. Ultimately, Briana chose the MHA program to become more knowledgeable about strategizing in the health field and integrate health with data analytics.
