Biography:
Manasi Somkuwar, from India, completed her bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery. She has grown up watching her mother work for the community as she serves as a healthcare worker which is Manasi’s earliest memory that bolstered her aspiration to go into public welfare. During her time in Dentistry she got the opportunity to work closely with hospitals which made her realize there’s no proper structure created to fill in the gaps amongst the provider, the patient and the hospital. UNC Charlotte’s MHA program will help her develop the skills and also give her a great head start in her career, providing her with opportunities in the future. So with the help of her clinical expertise and the skills she will gain in the MHA program as an administrator she wishes to fill in those gaps by eliminating the discrepancies in healthcare.
