Public Health Experience: I spent two years working at local community nonprofits. I spent one year working with families and their children in the Durham, North Carolina community. My primary focus was ensuring families were knowledgeable about the resources available to them and hosting events for children. My second service year was spent at Church of the Advocate The Red Door in Asheville, North Carolina. In this position, I worked alongside those experiencing homelessness. Much of this work involved working to connect people experiencing homelessness to community resources and providing a safe space for them to experience community. My most recent work was serving as a Patient Transporter at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina.

Why I chose the MPH program at UNC Charlotte: I chose the UNC Charlotte MPH program because I want to be a part of a community that is dedicated to caring for the wider community and supporting one another in furthering health. I want to continue to learn how I can help to support my community expand access to care and proactively address health concerns.

More About Me: I love to sing, be with friends, and be out in nature! I love going out to restaurants and watching funny movies with my friends. My happy place is the beach.
